Abortion Rights

In response to the Supreme Court’s refusal to block an extreme repressive and unconstitutional Texas anti-abortion law, on October 2, 2021, reproductive rights supporters gathered in Washington, DC, and across the nation to express their outrage and to organize their resistance. In Philadelphia, hundreds – if not thousands – marched down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and gathered for a rally at City Hall. As pictured below, participants came in all ages, genders and hues bearing home-made signs and often wearing their sentiments literally on their chests – poignant, assertive, angry, distressed, motivated – and even using humor to make their point.
