Framed
In this gallery, I have chosen images of individuals who are compositionally “framed” in different ways. As you look, compare and contrast different kinds of visual frames. Many of these people appear isolated in some way – is that positive, neutral, or negative? Ask yourself how the reflections and “veils” work. What is the effect of people being portrayed in black and white? What is the emotional effect of each image? Of the group?
New images will be added over time – you are invited to return often.
